To some extend it is rather complicated or costly, to carry along leisure articles from ones home country on the airplane. Therefore we offer the service of renting several of those articles locally in Talca. Sports goods are difficult to obtain in South America and do not offer the same quality as known to us; moreover those goods will not experience the same care and are therefore strained heavily. Travellers who attach importance to the immaculate condition and quality should bring along ones own equipment. Please be advised that when renting equipment plan in extra time for the introducing explanation, this can only happen in our headquarters in Talca, Chile. Equipment which is attached to the outside of the vehicle will not be replaced by the insurance in case of thievery.

Fuel canister
Carrying along an extra 20 L canister would not be a bad idea. They are actually close, but the smell of the fuel is disturbing. Therefore it might be a good idea to store the canister on the roof rack and not let it get in contact with personal equipment. |

Gas lamp
Our gas lamps are light weighted, small and use the same gas cartridges as gas cookers. As both gas cartridges hold screw threads, the same one can be used for both uses. The incandescent mantle is, like for all lamps, sensitive to movements, but, according to experience, it will last longer trips if stored in a soft environment.

Paperwork for bordercrossings
Chile do have many roads from the north to the south and is a good country for one way rentals. For a route in a circle it is a good choice to go to Argentina as well and there is no other way to get to Punta Arenas and Terra de Fuego. We do offer the papers and insurances to go to Argentina. These are either a "passport" for the vehicle or an authorisation from a notary and a internacional third person insurance. All other insurances are included in our rentalprice.

Barbeque
A barbeque after a day on the road is self-evident for most campers. Besides the barbeque we provide you with a set consisting of cutlery, a cleaning brush, etc. On camp grounds, predominantly in Argentina, barbeque sites are available. |

Childs seat
To travel with children smaller than 1,50 meter or 10 years old you need a childs seat by law. All vehicles have enough space and a seatbelt to fix the seat firmly.

Electrical cool box
Our campers have a rather large built in refrigerator. Who needs additional cooling space or one for the rental cars or pick up this electrical cool box is a good choice. It can be attached to the cigarette lighter. |
Voltagechanger for 12V to 220V
With this charger for voltage you do have a plug for 220V in the car. So you are able to charge your laptop or batteries.

Mobilphone
Good to have it in case of an emergency. We offer this phone with a prepaid card and a number we can give you in advance to give it to your company, family or friends. The charger is included in the price.

Snowchains
During June until Septembre there is snow in many regions of the Andes. To get to the best skiing areas or to go to Argentina yo will need the snow chains for sure. |

Table and chairs
Most camp grounds provide wooden tables and benches. For independent campers folding chairs and tables are a good alternative. |
Water can
Sometimes the next village is days away from the most beautiful spots -so buying what you need can be an adventure of its own. Be prepared and plan your water to cook, wash and drink well. With a water can of 15 litres you are able to go into the outback without problems.

Tent
The tent of the brand Doite, model Kailash, is one of the best tents one can obtain in Chile from a qualitative point of view. It offers space for 2 or 3 people and weighs only 4.5 kg. The wind stability and the water tightness are thereby quite good - when it rains heavily the base and the inner surface can get slightly clammy. We used this tent on challenging mountain hikes up to an elevation of 5000 meters and were quite satisfied. The rent includes two basic rubber mats. |
